By Lisa Mary Armstrong
What you dream of conceptually
rarely comes to fruition
when your blinded factually
it’s a foregone conclusion
a moment of magic
can be lost in the madness
a passionate encounter
can be wrought with much sadness
the concept of love
is profoundly tender and true
but in the realms of this world
it can leave you broken and bruised
Lisa Mary Armstrong is a Scottish poet and lives in South Lanarkshire with her children. She tutors law and researches women and children's experiences of the criminal justice system. In her spare time she enjoys reading and writing poetry and fiction and playing the piano.
