By Screams of Unfettered Minds
Microscopid anthropods silently salivate
In your bed, waiting, for you, fresh or no
Their favourite entrée, sides, main and dessert.
You've never seen them, will never feel them,
No bad thing, given their arachnid-like mugshot.
In the dark beneath the duvet covers while
you slumber under Morpheus’s spell, unaware
Tiny critters dine on your dead skin
Screams of Unfettered Minds (SOUM) is a newly-formed collaboration of three New Zealand women, who prefer their creative work to speak for them. They describe their style as raw, unpolished, tongue-in-cheek, unapologetic, unfiltered, born from years of shadow-work and presented straight from the heart. SOUM champion mental awareness and social issues and gain inspiration from the struggles of everyday people, highlighting the darker aspects of their physical, mental and spiritual battles.
