By M L Woldman
you have so many golden shadows
resting in linen closets
and rest stop bathrooms
…little selves you shed without knowing
arrest the eye and gaze upon the metal
those shadows are holy
and they don’t ask you to repent
not anymore
you have repented enough
in graves
you have groveled toward the sun
and now you can see the gold for its true color
